Football 2010

Clemson football hasn't gotten off to the best start this year.  BIG SURPRISE, huh?  We are sitting at 2-3 and have Maryland coming up this weekend.  Clemson doesn't have the best record against Maryland & Coach Ralph Friedgen, so I'll be pretty shocked if we come out of the weekend with another "W" under our belt.

Football season has seemed a little different this year...we haven't been as into it as normal.  As a matter of fact, the part that I have enjoyed most hasn't been going to the games, tailgating, or visiting the Esso Club...it's been in an email!  My cousin Richard has been emailing pre & post-game poetry and his rhymes are hilarious!  Below are his most recent works.

The Truth
I once was Optimistic
And thought that we could win
But here we are in 2010
At 2 and 3 again

CJ returned for another Year
Then Parker did the Same
And if Daquan does the same next year
I'll swear that he's Insane

We blew a lead at Auburn
Got Our Quarterback in Pain
Then we turned it over 6 damn times
and squandered to the Canes

I thought we'd get it back on track
and wallop on the Heels
Someone please go tell North Texas
We now know how it Feels

I'm tired of watching Opposing Backs
Run up and down the field
We could hire Peewee Herman
to replace D Cord Coach Steele

Now I'll be there next Saturday
To see CJ's return
But I'll be cussing, biting, fighting and screaming
when our Cornerbacks get burned.

I was hoping KP
would win the Davey O'Brien
But we lost 3 in a row
And ever since I've been cryin'

I thought that our Defense
would Crush our Opponents
But it seems that our Coaching Staff
Lacks key Components

We lost to Miami
And all their Scholarship Haitians
Ran out of Gas verse the Heels
And were far from the Station

So now we must muster up
All of our Guts
And knock the Friege and the Terrapins
Right on their Butts

And after a 2 and 3 start
shall you return us to Glory
When I am asked if I doubted you
I'm sure I'll change my story!!!
